Twin Lakes is proud to provide emergency services to its residents through our Volunteer Fire Department. All Twin Lakes firefighters live at Twin Lakes and are trained firefighters; most of the department members are trained Emergency Medical Responders (EMR). The department has one engine, three brush pumpers, a tanker, a command car, and an all terrain vehicle equipped to support emergencies. Four (4) of our vehicles are equipped to respond to emergency medical calls. In addition to providing fighting fires in our community, we often assist departments in Logan and Kingfisher Counties. Twin Lakes has mutual aid agreements with all 13 Logan County fire departments. Our station is equipped with a propane generator providing power to the station in the event of a power outage. We have an additional trailer mounted generator for power needs as required. The department has a weather center located in our fire department. During inclement weather, our center is staffed 24 / 7 to ensure the safety of our community. When conditions warrant we will sound the warning siren. As required fire department, personnel will assist residents within Twin Lakes checking on residents with medical conditions and/or small children. In the event of an emergency, dial 911. Beginning February 2, 2019, the Fire Department advises to dial 911 for emergency service. The current number, 969-2222 will also take you to the 911 service, but only for a limited amount of time. Guthrie will dispatch to the Twin Lakes Fire Department and whoever else they deem necessary to go on the call. Be sure and have your address and telephone number; and let them know you are inside Twin Lakes. If possible, call from a landline telephone; a cell phone may take you to the Kingfisher dispatch which will result in a delay in response. Volunteers needed. If you are interested call 830-4076, 969-3834, or 969-2330. If no answer, please leave a message, one of the department members will contact you. Twin Lakes emergency number is 911 |
