Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department
Twin Lakes is proud to provide emergency services to its residents through our Fire Department and volunteer fire fighters. All of our volunteers are trained in emergency medicine and fire fighting. We have three pump trucks and an All-Terrain vehicle for medical support. In addition to providing fighting fires in our community, we often assist departments in Logan and Kingfisher Counties with rural fires.
We have a weather center located in our fire department. During inclement weather, our center has personnel on-site 24 hours 7 days a week to ensure the safety of our community. In the event of inclement weather, we have a tornado siren on Twin Lakes property which is sound when there is an actual tornado warning. We also have fire personnel throughout Twin Lakes checking on residents with medical conditions and/or small children.
In the event of an emergency, dial 911. Beginning February 2, 2019, the Fire Department advises to dial 911 for emergency service. The current number, 969-2222 will also take you to the 911 service, but only for a limited amount of time. Guthrie will dispatch to the Twin Lakes Fire Department and whoever else they deem necessary to go on the call. Be sure and have your address and telephone number; and let them know you are inside Twin Lakes. If possible, call from a landline telephone; a cell phone may take you to the Kingfisher dispatch which will result in a delay in response.
